About Me July 9, 2008

Hello!

My name is Andrea, I’m a groomer and all around pet lover. Dogs are my specialty, training, walking, watching and loving!

I’ve worked with dogs since I was 7 years old, starting out in the Pups ‘R’ Us 4-H club training three dogs over 11 years. From there, I took my love for dogs into the working world, maintaining a 17 outdoor sled-dog kennel, assisting in the kennel at the Amherst Animal Hospital, and the Hillsborough County Veterinary Hospital with much sought after neurologist Ken Schunk and board certified surgeon Cheryl Schunk. After four years on the medical side of the spectrum, I moved to the care side with American K-9 Country as the weekend kennel manager and doggie daycare attendant.

After High School I moved to Durham to attend UNH for a degree in Animal Sciences with a Pre-vet focus and Animal Behavior minor. While at school I continued to get my doggie fix at K-9 Kaos as a daycare attendant.

Over the summer of 2008, I took on petsitting as my full time job while I attended classes at UNH in Manchester in order to finish my degree a semester early.  Now that I’ve completed my BS, I returned to Milford to train as a groomer with Dara at the Doggie Bag and Day Spaw.  After training for a year in her salon and working in another as a bather, with some traveling in between I ended up at the North Nashua Petsmart as a ‘PetStylist’.  Now as a full time groomer and sometimes more than full time, I’m enjoying, for the most part, my new found passion.

The pet community in my area is always growing and it’s important to me to be a part of it.  I truly love dogs and all animals, with their interesting, although sometimes annoying but always trainable behaviors!

Hello Andrea! I am very excited to find you and would love to talk to you about some upcoming dates that I require someone special (like you!) to love my pets while I am gone.

Please email me, so that I can forward my phone number.

    Warmly,

    Melissa
